THEME "REVOLTION — Different Experience —"

It has been 5 years since Elise MK1 was sensationally introduced. An upgraded and outstanding 'New Elise' is now launched from Lotus who was awarded as the Best Handling British Sport Cars in several occasions as they keep their throne in motor industry. The theme is "Revolution —Ditferent Experience" , keeping the high standard from original Elise, redesigning the bodywork, interior and specifications, New Elise was born without stopping the quest for the better.

The Lotus stand has a couple of new Elise alongside an Exige which popularity is next to none and an Extreme Elise, 340R as 'Elise Family' line up.

Stand introduction

To introduce the real Lotus, a New Elise, renewed the design and specifications as well as the 'Elise' logo design to match the new model, is introduced together with an Exige, which is well known as 'Road Going Racing Car', admired not only in the home country England but world widely, and a 340R, designed to drive quicker and lighter with the spartan character.

'Elise Family' line up
  • New Elise
    Introduced at Birmingham Motor Show in 2000, Lotus made the supreme model as their dream. Using nearly 900 new components, Elise became better than older models and a more fascinating and exiting vehicle was launched. The highly completed design with lighter body attracted everybody in the world even before they were in production.

  • Elise 340R
    Only (30) cars were allocated to the Japanese market out of the limited edition of 340 in the world. The cars have been registered since Type approval was obtained in August 2000. The bodyline is sharp, distinguished and people cannot help staring at the shapely features. The lightness of 550kg gives you more acceleration and quick response. . One of the best sport cars with captivating charm, Lotus is proud of.

  • Exige
    Exige, given the name 'demand' in French, was launched in response to people's expectant desire. Based on the racing Sports Elise used in the one make series in England, it was modified to 'road legal' racing car, which allow us to take it on the road. Without losing the beautifui bodyline, it has now a new front spoiler and rear wing for more racing essence and power. Currently 'Lotus Championship' for 'Sport Elise' and 'Exige' has been started as a race series approved by JAF and it has 5 races a year in Japan.

  • ADVAN ELISE CUP
    'ADVAN ELISE CUP' introduced in 2000 for Elise owners, was started with the corporations by Yokohama Rubber Co Ltd (Yokohama Tyres) as a 'New Driving Stage'. The 'ADVAN ELISE CUP' is a driving experience based on race style, aiming for getting to know each driver and their families, building up the closer relationship with them as same style as the races in Europe. The main purpose in this series is offering people the 'races as events', not only as competitions. Everyone can enjoy the famous Elise drivability in the vehicles with number plates on and a hospitality marquee is provided for relaxing before or after race. As the second year, the owners and families have been closer and the series becomes more 'At home' atmosphere. The 'ADVAN ELISE CUP' is now known as thrilling, exciting and friendly series improving the owners skills and technique.

  • LOTUS CHAMPIONSHIP
    In 2001 one make series 'LOTUS CHAMPIONSHIP' organised by Lotus Cars, officially approved by JAF has been launched. It has 5 races a year with two classes for Sport Elise and Exige. The Sport Elise series 'Lotus Championship' which brought back Lotus Cars UK to the race scene was started in UK last year. The UK series has 15 races a year as BTCC support tour in Europe and is getting more spectators for the high level race and the eye-catching battles. Japanese series presents the similar exciting race scene as UK races.

  • LOTUS RACING SCHOOL
    Invited as instructors, one of the most famous and popular drivers Keiichi Tsuchiya, who enters Le Mans and GT Championship etc, and the ranking No 1 driver in Formula Nippon, Naoki Hattori, the racing schools are held 5-6 lessons a year at Tsukuba circuit. As practical curriculum, the lessone offer the owners the starting practice in moc race and learning by feeling in passenger seat driven by professional drivers as well as private lecture and lessons with the instructors. Also the opportunity to learn the basic points such as how to tade the best lines on the circuit, the manners and etiquettes on track including questions and answers as a form fo discussion style lessons.
    Any Lotus vehicles are allowed to take part in.
