W205	Hitachi, Ltd.	Finger Vein Authentication Technology	Hitachi's biometrics technology identifies persons by using uniqueness of their own finger vein pattern. It can recognize the proper users only by placing one finger on the reader. Newly developed technology realizes compact reader enough to install in the steering wheel. This allows to authenticate the driver only by gripping the wheel. Additionally by having seveal functions relevance to each fingers, the driver can start various functions safely even in driving without looking at instrument panel or steering wheel.
		VEL(Continuous Variable Valve Event & Lift Contol Systems)	A newly developed variable valve control system called VEL (Continuous Variable Valve Event and Lift Control System) has been brought to market since this summer, and contributes to not only fuel economy and low emission, but also driving pleasure which means improvement in torque at low and midle rpm, maximun power at high rpm . VEL can change both valve lift and event (duration) from lowest lift state below 1mm for fuel economy to highest lift state over 12mm which means the valve lift of racing engine. VEL can be installed in conventional cylinder head without camshaft axis position large change from conventional axis position. High rpm tolerance and low driving friction can be obtained owing to multi-link valve train mechanism, and quick changing response and low energy comsumption can be got by electric powered ball screw actuator.
		Motorized 4WD System Cutaway Model	Hitachi's battery-less Motorized 4 Wheel Drive system provides DC directly from a water-cooled alternator in the engine compartment to the motor installed on the rear wheels. It has the capability to supply the necessary amount of power as needed. Eliminating propeller shaft allows for a low and flat floor equivalent to that of the front wheel drive passenger car. Eimination of propeller shaft made it possible for one touch switch to 2WD mode resulting in lesser fuel efficiency loss. Improved responsive DC motor allows for a smooth start and it is safer to drive even on the freezing slope due to the independently controlled front and rear wheel.
		Traffic Information System	Hitachi has launched a service of providing high accurate and real-time traffic information using taxi probe information in Japan. At the show, Hitachi will demonstrate the display for real-time traffic information and traffic congestion information for cellular phone. In addition, we will exhibit our features in congestion prediction and estimation function, and superiority in processing traffic information. 1.Wider area support of the traffic information coverage using taxi probe information technology 2.Highly accurate Real-time traffic information with Hitachi's congestion prediction technology 3.Traffic information has been provided to more than 80% of main roads in the 23 cities of Tokyo. This will be expanded to other major cities in Japan accordingly.
		Six axes small attitude sensor	This product is an attitude sensor, which combins 1-axis of optical fiber gyro, 2-axis of MEMS gyro, and 3-axis of MEMS accelerometer. It features with small and low-cost MEMS gyros to detect axis roll and pitch axis and with high-accuracy optical fiber gyro to detect yawing axis. Attitude angles can be obtaind in real time by high-speed attitude anlge algorithm operation, so that it is possible to quickly recognize changes in attitude state of mobile equipments. Furthermore, accurate output of attitude angles can be obtained even under disturbing environment as digital filters equipped in the sensor shall eliminate elements of vibration noise.

		High Luminosity Pastic Sheet《Sparkle》	It is used multi layer extruding technique. It has expandable metal layer and particular bark that has excellent abrasion resistance and weatherability. It does not contain hexavalent chromium. Therefore it is environmental friendly thermo forming sheet.
		High-Strength Plastic Gear	In order to reduce noise and vibration of inline 4-cylinders engine, we proposed resin gears on instead of conventional steel gears for balance shaft system. It contributed greatly in reducing rattle caused by tooth contact and noise of meshing gear. For this resin gear, we developed special material combination. Particular organic fibers and high heat resistance thermosetting resin which have good durability against oil, heat and high speed rotation.

		Valve Timing Control Parts	The number of automobile engines equipped with valve timing control systems is increasing to reduce fuel consumption and protect the environment (from exhaust gas). There is also a demand for more compact engines and a reduction in the number of parts. The sprocket and body are designed as an integrated part and complex shapes are compacted by a CNC(Computer Numerical Control) press. The tooth flanks are rolled in order to guarantee contact pressure resistance. It is a product which enjoys the maximum advantage of the powder metallurgy manufacturing method.

PowerCore	PowerCore is an absolutely new air cleaner whose unique and original structure which employs axial flow through the filter media, enables superior engine protection performance, improved dust capturing performance and increased ease of handling and maintainability while demonstrating vast improvements in compactness and lower pressure loss. By coating the surface of our filter media with nano fibers, Donaldson achieved 99.99% cleaning efficiency for microscopic particles whose nominal size is 2μm. This extremely high dust capturing performance leads to about three times the dust holding capacity over typical media. Through the use of honeycomb like structures to create high density dust accumulating spaces, Donaldson is able to realize twice the per unit area performance leading to a reduction in size of nearly half compared to past media technology.
