The Tiguan, an all-new compact SUV which Volkswagen proudly starts to introduce this November into the European market, makes its Japan debut. All Tiguans will be equipped with direct-injection, charged engines, the first SUV to do so, with their powers coming either from the newly-developed common-rail TDI engines or twin-charged, direct-injection gasoline engines (TSI). Like its elder brother Touareg, the Tiguan embodies the three cars in one, achieving excellent rough road tractability, sporty handling on smooth roads, and supurb ride comfort like a limousine. The sale of the Tiguan will start in November in Europe with the Japanese launch planned in second half of 2008.
