The 39th Tokyo Motor Show-Passenger Cars & Motorcycles- (2005) will be held from October 21 to November 6, 2005 at Makuhari Messe in Makuhari, Chiba City.
Advance viewings for the press will be held on October 19 (Wednesday) and 20 (Thursday). Journalists attending Press Days require advance press registration.
On-site press registration will be also available at the information desks at each entrance gate (West Gate 1, North Gate 1, North Gate 2, and East Gate) to Makuhari Messe.
You will be required to fill in a registration form and present your business card. In some cases you may be asked to present the articles that you wrote for any publications.
After reviewing your credential, you will be provided the press card immediately.
= Eligibility =
You must be involved in reporting, editing or broadcasting etc. to be eligible for press registration.
Press registration is not open to advertising agencies, public-relations firms, or the advertising sales departments of newspapers, publishers, television stations or radio stations that work for exhibitors. Moreover, we may ask applicants to submit copies of their publication, programming plans or similar documentation in order to confirm their press credentials. The Tokyo Motor Show reserves the right to refuse registration to anyone it deems not to be a member of the press. |
Lifting of press embargo |
|
|
|
In the past, we had set a press embargo on exhibitors' announcement of their exhibits and plans that was normally lifted approximately 1 week before the opening of the Tokyo Motor Show. Following that date, exhibitors were free to make announcements on their exhibits and plans. The 39th Tokyo Motor Show, however, has no press embargo. Exhibitors will make announcements to the press at their convenience starting September 28, after the JAMA press briefing on the outline of the show (scheduled for September 27, 2005).

We will make available a Digital Album as part of our services for the press.
The album contains official photographs of the show taken by the organizer to communicate the atmosphere (entrance gates, exhibition hall aerial shots, exhibits, events etc.).
All photographs are available as high-resolution data files (DTP-quality; digital camera specs: 2,034 x 1,536 pixels [approx. 3.5 million pixels] to 3,024 x 2,016 pixels [approx. 6.0 million pixels]).
