About the Harley-Davidson exhibits and main items on display
"Millennium Time Capsule Project 2000"
The year 2000 is a special turning point linking the past millennium with the next 1,000 years. It's such a perfect time for gazing into the future. That's why Harley-Davidson has put together a magnificent plan known as the "Millennium Time Capsule Project 2000." What's it all about ? Each and every person who purchases a year 2000 Harley-Davidson motorcycle will have his or her name and bike serial number engraved on a metal plate which will be enclosed inside the Millenium Time Capsule to be buried at Harley-Davidson Headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. So everyone who buys a year 2000 Harley will be part of history in the making. Visitors to this area can also see the actual Millennium Capsule on display.

That's not all. Visitors will also be excited by the fantastic selection of HDC Harley-Davidson clothing and other products shown here. Yes, the Harley-Davidson lifestyle offers so much to enjoy.
Softail Heritage/Softail Series
Fifteen years ago, Harley-Davidson created a new series of bikes by fusing traditional styling with features and power suited to modern times. Now for the first time, these bikes have been totally redesigned and are on display for all to see. Our approach for these machines was remarkably simple: "change nothing while making everything new." The result is the same basic styling with updated performance for th next century. The newly equipped TWIN-CAM 88B 1450 cc engine is Harley's first to be outfitted with a new twin counterbalancing system. Not only is the TWIN-CAM 88B a high-performance engine with outstanding power and torque, it's also completely free of uncomfortable engine vibrations. So Softail Series bikes now let you enjoy comfortable high-speed cruising too. It's improvements like these plus the fully re-designed chassis that demonstrate the extraordinary ride and excitement that Harley-Davidson bikes offer for the 21st century.
While you're at this part of the exhibit, don't miss the Softail Deuce - a brand new model being displayed in Japan for the very first time. You can also check out six other popular models, including such traditional and stately machines as the Heritage Softail Classic.
FXSTD Softail Deuce:

Here's a brand new American cruiser for a brand new century. It combines traditional styling and sharp polish for a look that radiates the future. Whether it's the sophisticated fuel tank and instruments or futuristic fenders, this bike has a fresh look that's matched perfectly to this turning point in history. And matching the unique and original styling is a TWIN-CAM 88B 1450 cc OHV engine that guarantees true riding thrills.
Electra Glide Series
Electra Glide Series cycles are noble and refined touring machines backed by history and tradition. In addition to outstanding stability for high-speed riding and light-handling capabilities, they offer deluxe amenities like functional tour packs and saddle bags that assure riders of comfortable traveling. Five Electra Glide bikes will be on display, including a FLHTCU-I Electra Glide Ultra Classic Injection that's equipped with the EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) TWIN-CAM 88, plus an unusual side-car bike.
Dyna Glide Series
Dyna Glide Series bikes are sporty cruisers equipped with tough-performing TWIN-CAM 88 1450 cc engines and a mighty dyna-chassis to match. As direct descendants of the historic Low Rider and Super Glide Series bikes, these powerful twin-engine machines offer a sporty ride that's hugely popular. Five cycles in all will be exhibited, including the ultimate in custom styling and cruise-ability - the FXDWG Dyna Wide Glide.
Sportster Series
Sportster Series motorcycles excite sports-minded riders - not just for their fantastic street riding - but also for their hot performance on the racing scene. Sportster bikes are outfitted with either 883 cc or 1203 cc Evolution engines, and come in many variations, from the most basic models, to those that are super-sporty or highly customized. On display will be the dignified American-styled XL 1200C Sportster 1200 Custom, with a newly-equipped, high-volume fuel tank for the year 2000. Two other models will be shown as well.
