WELCOME TO THE AUDI STAND AT THE 33RD TOKYO MOTOR SHOW

BoothAt the 33rd Tokyo Motor Show, visitors will have the chance to view the Audi stand's innovative design. This striking design was first seen at the recent Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA). Artfully fusing modern architecture and design techniques with imaginative lighting and video technologies, the Audi stand promises to be a treat for jaded show visitors. Apart from the design, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy some impressive presentations that expound Audi's philosophy of "Vorsprung durch Technik (Advancement through Technology)." The Audi exhibit for 1999 hails the new millennium with the latest model line and concept: "In the future - Audi."

The most attention-capturing feature of the Audi stand is its facade composed of stainless steel tubes, wire nets, transparent glass and satin-finished glass that emphasizes curves. This facade is called "Loop" and features alternating triangular transparent and satin finished glass panels. A slightly angled floor along with directional illuminations and an image projector smoothly guides visitors through the Audi booth and creates a futuristic atmosphere that harmonizes well with Audi's progressive image.

The vehicle exhibit section is divided into two main areas. Visitors first encounter the R8R (No.8) which took third and fourth places in the 1999 Le Mans 24-hour race. This car symbolizes the first area's theme which is "Sporty & Dynamic." This area will also showcase the Audi S4 sedan with its "S" emblem, the Audi S6 that debuted in the Frankfurt Motor Show and the exceptional engines that power these two models to high performance specifications. The Audi A8 4.2 quattro will also be on display as an example of Audi's high-end models that offer dynamic driving.

Hughlighting the booth's second area is the Audi TT series. This includes the TT Coupé winner of various prestigious awards for design, and the TT Roadster, due to be unveiled on the first press day (for exhibit only). The new premium compact car, the 4-door Audi A3, and the A6 Avant will also be on display in this area.
