Highlights of the Rover Booth

Photo:BoothRover is a part of the BMW and from this year its booth is being produced using a design coordinated with that of the adjoining BMW booth. At this year's Tokyo Motor Show, Rover is displaying a total of 12 vehicles, including special show models.

"Rover" Area
Here we have the Rover of tomorrow, which presents an image of both British tradition and the motoring of the future. On the turntable is the Rover 75, which was introduced only recently but is already winning wide popularity.

"Land Rover" Area
The new Dicovery, introduced in Japan this year following the model's first complete makeover in 10 years, is being displayed at this year's show in a dynamic way, as if it were driving off road. Other models on display include the Range Rover Autobiography, whose name is synonymous with the ultimate in luxury, and the Defender "Project SVX" exhibition model.

"MG" Area
This is also a special year for MG, the British sports car marque of noble lineage, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary in 1999. To mark the occasion, we are displaying a special show model, the MGF Super Sports, a prototype of a highly impressive sports car. Its presence amplifies the legendary MG brand, the starting point of British sports cars.

"Mini" Area
Photo:Mini BoothThe Mini is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. To commemorate this happy occasion, Rover introduced the Mini 40th Anniversary Limited, derived from the Mini Mayfair, in June and then followed it in September with the Mini Cooper 40th Anniversary Limited, a limited edition model based on the Mini Cooper and developed exclusively for the Japanese market. Both models are equipped with a number of premium features and components that make them truly deserving of their status as limited editions for this special anniversary year. We are displaying these two memorable cars in the Mini area in a bright, pop ambience.
