Guide to the Daihatsu Booth

The environment, natural resources, the safety and comfort of people who use cars. At the dawn of the 21st century, there are so many problems that car manufacturers have to solve. One answer that is now attracting considerable attention and inferest is the small car.
In seeking the proper form for the car in its role as a member of the community, Daihatsu has long been committed to the building of small cars.
At the 33rd Tokyo Motor Show our theme is "Come on, smile ! -Neat. Tidy. Compact." We show that the small car can be a smile for the environment and natural resources, a smile on the face of users, reflecting feelings of safety and security, smiles of comfort, recreation, and creativity. The 21st century community of cars needs all these smiles, and it is the small car that can make it happen. Our corporate slogan is "We make it COMPACT." That shows our basic commitment to creating the small car culture of the 21st century and presenting ideas for a new, fresh automotive lifestyle in tune with the 21st century.
Come and enjoy Daihatsu's ideas and vision embodied in a dazzling display of concept cars and technologies.

Around the booth

Concept cars are displayed on a front, a center and a main stage. Visitors first encounter cars that will soon be available, then cars that are near-future concepts, and finally concept cars of the future. Technologies used in the cars on display are exhibited on a stage at the center of the booth. These show the advanced environmental, safety and other technologies Daihatsu is using in its small car development and manufacturing operations.

Presentations
There are dance performances on the four-meter-high catwalks that link the stages. The exciting music and dance steps are also a reflection of Daihatsu's dynamic dedication to the small car. Enjoy the clear explanations of the exhibits given by the narrators and booth companions, dressed in their eye-catching uniforms.
