Variable steering is a mechanism which varies steering gear ratio by computer control.
It has many useful functions which help make handling operation safe and comfortable for the driver. For example, it allows you to not only turn in a tight circle at low speeds, but also enhances safety when driving on straight roads at high speeds. By compacting the mechanism, NSK has succeeded in incorporating this variable steering into the column type electric power steering system. This allows small and middle-sized cars to enjoy the comfortable handling, safety, and performance of variable steering. We will introduce this unit at our booth.
