The 39th Tokyo Motor Show |

JHFC (Japan Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Demonstration Project) |
Test rides of clean energy vehicles have been popular since the 37th show in 2003, and will be offered again at the 40th show. Test rides have two primary purposes: 1) to encourage visitors to develop a proper understanding of clean energy vehicles by experiencing for themselves the functions and features of these vehicles, and 2) to demonstrate that the automotive industry is making a concerted effort to deal with environmental problems by developing clean energy vehicles, thereby improving the general public’s (consumers’) understanding of and regard for the industry. The course will run from the first Press Day on Wednesday, October 24 through to the end of the General Public Days on Sunday, November 11 and will be located in D and E Blocks in Makuhari Seaside Park adjacent to Makuhari Messe. A total of 13 vehicles (including 2 buses, as well as fuel cell and hydrogen-powered vehicles) from 8 automakers are scheduled to participate. Bus rides will take place in the Commercial Vehicles Test Ride area.
