PREMIERE[LOGO] Cadillac BLS The Cadillac BLS debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show will premiered for the first time in Asia at the Tokyo Motor Show. The vehicle has clear, sharply defined contours, striking wedge shape and an elegant interior. This new premium mid-size sedan adds another important element to Cadillac's growing international presence. The front-wheel drive BLS offers expressive design, outstanding ride and acoustic comfort. Release date, prices, and specifications in Japan are yet to be determined.
Cadillac CTS The Cadillac CTS's linear and strong contours, distinctive form of the CTS, at once express Cadillac's storied past and look to the future through its lean, chiseled body, sheer forms, sharp edges and crisp intersecting lines. Built on GM's acclaimed Sigma rear-wheel drive architecture, CTS was the first North American model rigorously tested at the famed Nürburgring racetrack in Germany. The 2.8-liter model and 3.6-liter model are available in Japan. They offer drivers a sporty and sophisticated driving.
Cadillac SRX The Cadillac SRX delivers performance and flexibility to the medium luxury utility segment in a distinctive, all-new package. It is a highly evaluated SUV which combines smooth, nimble handling and a high degree of utility to create a SUV that drives like a sports sedan. Based on GM's acclaimed Sigma architecture, the SRX has two engine combinations: the 4.6-liter V-8 and the 3.6-liter V-6, both mated with all-wheel drive (AWD).
PREMIERE[LOGO] Cadillac STS-V The 2006 STS-V to make Japan debut is a rear-wheel drive model that epitomizes Cadillac power and performance. The 4.4-liter supercharged Northstar V-8 engine is mated to the all-new Hydra-Matic 6L80 six-speed automatic transmission, resulting in an under-5-second club for 0-60 mph time. Careful calibration of the engine and transmission enables refined shift feel. In addition, it carries the craftsmanship and sophistication of its base model STS, featuring elegant design statement that is unmistakably Cadillac.
Corvette Convertible Power. Passion. Precision. These hallmarks are the heart and soul of the all-new Corvette whose delivery started in February in Japan. The new LS2 6.0-liter is the largest-displacement small-block ever produced by GM, with peak output levels of 404 horsepower. This was combined with GM's new generation performance car architecture, and thus, given a perfect and more energetic and dynamic styling. For more than 50 years since its first generation was released, the Corvette has been an American performance icon appreciated by its enthusiasts. At the same time, it has been America's most revered and respected sports car with world-class performance.
PREMIERE[LOGO] Corvette Z06 The 2006 Z06 to make Japan debut this time has a visual attitude that always looks ready to demonstrate Corvette's winning attitude to any challenger around the globe. The Z06's new LS7 7.0-liter engine, the most powerful passenger car engine ever produced by GM, delivers 505 horsepower (377 kW) in a lightweight body of approximately 1,420 kg. The combination with a six-speed manual transmission is expected to deliver 0-60 mph performance of less than 4 seconds, quarter-mile elapsed times of less than 12 seconds and a top speed of more than 190 mph on a racetrack. The new Z06 has also an unmistakable and aggressive appearance.
PREMIERE[LOGO] GM Sequel The bold push from GM to reinvent the automobile, first revealed in the AUTOnomy and Hy-wire concept cars, became that much more real today with the unveiling of the GM Sequel. With a 25-percent more powerful fuel cell stack, GM's next-generation fuel cell power system helps Sequel achieve a 300-mile range and 0-60 mph acceleration in less than 10 seconds, while emitting no greenhouse gases.
Hummer H2 Every H2 starts with a fully welded ladder-type frame that features a three-piece design incorporating a number of hydroformed components. The result is outstanding strength, stiffness and dimensional accuracy. Ensuring on-road ride comfort and control, as well as off-road capability, is H2's independent front torsion bar and five-link coil spring rear suspension. The Hummer H2, real off-roader which retained the DNA of the Hummer brand, is offered in two trims in Japan: Type S (4AT) and Type G (4AT) are priced at 7.749 million yen and 8.82 million yen, respectively (both including consumption tax). Both are available at Automotive Mitsui., Co.
Hummer H3 H3 packs uncompromising Hummer style and capability into its midsize dimensions. Compared to the H2, the H3 is 430 mm shorter in length, 140 mm shorter in height (against Type-G) and 180 mm narrower. Roughly the same length as a midsize family sedan, H3 comfortably navigates city traffic and delivers Hummer's trademark crawling and climbing capability.
