Common Facilities for Exhibition
  1. Exhibitor’s Room <Applicants in Passenger Car, Motorcycle, and Parts (Government pavilions and exhibitors with 6 booths or more in the North Hall) Sections>
    Exhibitor’s rooms will be available to provide resting and storage spaces in order to alleviate space requirements at the booth.
    1. Location of exhibitor’s rooms (Shown in the attached drawing)
      1. Domestic Passenger Car Section (Large stand): In the South Rest Zone and Outdoor of the east side of an East Hall
      2. Domestic Passenger Car Section (Small stand): North sides in the West, Center and East Halls
      3. Foreign Passenger Car Section: North sides in the West, Center and East Halls and in the South Rest Zone
      4. Domestic Motorcycle Section: In the 1st floor of the North Hall
      5. Foreign Motorcycle and Parts(Government pavilions and exhibitors with 6 booths or more)
        Section : Rooms on the west side on the 2nd floor of the North Hall

    3. Application
      1. Number of exhibitor’s rooms :
        Because of the limit in number of rooms and their location, each exhibitor should apply for these rooms not exceeding the number shown below.
        • Domestic Passenger Cars :
          Large stand: Exhibitors with 2,000m2or larger - 2 rooms or less ; less than 2,000m2 - 1 room
          Small stand: 1 room
        • Foreign Passenger Cars :
          Large stand - 2 rooms or less ; Small stand - 1 room
        • Domestic Motorcycles : 1 room
        • Foreign Motorcycles : 1 room
        • Parts : 1 room (Government pavilions and exhibitors with 6 booths or more only.
          A room may be unavailable depending on the number of applicants.)
      2. Filing Deadline: Friday, July 27, 2001.

    4. Location :
      The location of exhibitor’s rooms will be decided by the JMIF Secretariat so that the rooms are located as close as possible to the respective exhibitor’s booths .

  2. Punch carpet (In-stand) <Applicants in Passenger Car and Motorcycle Sections>
    Collective purchase of carpets of unified material will be made on a request basis.
    1. Material
      Punch carpet 4.2 m in thickness, 945g/m2 in weight, specially treated polypropylene 44 dtex.
    2. Color
      Selected from 25 colors in "Color Sample Book."
      A sample book is available on request to JMIF
    3. Installation Work
      Collectively-purchased carpets will be delivered inside the booth on the delivery starting day of the Show(October 16). The laying, removal and disposal of the carpets must be carried out by the exhibitor.
    4. Filing Deadline: Friday, July 27, 2001.
    5. Price (tax not included)
      1,820m wide roll : 1,050yen / m

  3. Standing Light System < Applicants in Passenger Car and Motorcycle Sections>
    Since these lighting devices were developed specifically for the Tokyo Motor Show and are capable of very efficient illumination, exhibitors are advised to consider the use of these devices.
    1. Lighting Equipment Drawing
      Exhibitors who need “ Design Drawing of Unified Standing Type Lighting Equipment “ should contact the Secretariat.
    2. Installation Work
      Assembled lighting equipment will be delivered inside the booth of each exhibitor on October 12, Exhibitors are requested to install, and after the Show, dismount the same to its original state as at the time of delivery.
    3. Filing Deadline: Friday, September 7, 2001.
    4. Lease Fee (tax not included)
      Model L: 85,000yen / unit
      Model T: 90,000yen / unit

  4. Overhead Banners < Passenger Car and Motorcycle Sections>
    In all the exhibition halls, an overhead banner indicating the name of an exhibitor will be provided at the locations shown in the attached drawing, at the expense of the JMIF Secretariat. The banners will be made as shown below. Exhibitors are requested to specify the colors and typefaces of their logos.
    1. Location and Number of Banners
      As show in the drawing already forwarded to you.
    2. Size and Layout (Please refer to the attached form “Exhibitor’s Logo for Overhead Banner”)
      The exhibitor’s logo (English shortened name or mark) will be shown by cutting sheet on a white base on both sides of the banners.
    3. Logo Color
      The color of the logo on the banner should be designated by the sample, a cutting-sheet (CS-200 series, 165 colors, by Nakagawa Chemical Co., Ltd.).
      However, when accompanied by gradation, please append color data (Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop : for Windows/Mac) or a positive film.
    4. Filing Deadline: Friday, July 27, 2001.

  5. Common Lighting for Motorcycle Sections <Motorcycle Section>
    As stipulated in the “Standfitting and Display Regulations,” all overhead lighting will be provided collectively by the JMIF Secretariat at the exhibitor’s expense, using uniform lighting equipment.
    1. Location: To be notified separately by the JMIF Secretariat.
    2. Lighting Equipment Drawing:
      Exhibitors who need “ Design Drawing of Unified Standing Type Lighting Equipment “ should contact the Secretariat.
    3. Average Luminance Intensity: approx. 1,800 Lx (directly below)
    4. Installation Charges (tax not included): 406,000yen / unit

  6. Carpeting for Common Passageways <Passenger Car, Motorcycle and Parts Sections>
    Carpeting for common passageways as specified in the Standfitting and Display Regulations will be furnished by the JMIF Secretariat, and it has been decided to use the same material as the punch carpet used in the booth. Its color is "red" in the West, Center and East Halls, and "blue" in the North Hall.
    Main common passageways and passageways between a stand and its adjacent stand will have route indicating signs and symbol marks built in the carpet.
    Laying(Afternoon of October 23 to early morning of October 24) and removing work will be performed by the JMIF Secretariat. The costs of this carpeting work shall be shared by the exhibitors in proportion to the exhibition space used by each exhibitor as follows :
    Shared expense (tax not included) : 1,190yen / m2 of stand area
