MT-01 (Special exhibition model)
This concept model proposes a new type of motorcycle conceived around the key word " Soul." The developmental concept is " Pulse." Its design is the product of an exhaustive exploration of all the aspects of " pulse" experienced by the rider and the motorcycle:not only the engine pulse produced directly by the explosive force of combustion, the thythm of the torque fluctuation and even the exhasu sound and the beating of the rider's heart. The aim is technology that touches the rider's heart.
V-STAR Eleven Classic (Export spec)
Taking the Drag Star 1100 (DS11) as its base, this model represents an embodiment of the concept of " a classic cruiser." This classic version is built to provide unsurpassed pride of ownership and a distinctive riding experience.
Drag Star 400 (Special exhibition model)
Taking as its base the existing 400cc Drag Star popular for its " Long & Low" styling and outstanding running performance, this model accentuates the impression of a customized bike. Appointments like a new-design headlight, leather seat and a thin-profile tank-mounted meter panel are just a few examples of the attention to detail that gives this model its distinctive flavor.
Drag Star 250 (Special exhibition model)
With the " Long & Low" Drag Star series concept intact, this model brings a real American style motorcycle to the 250cc class. The air-cooled V-twin engine is a masterpiece of simplicity and functional beauty that also boasts state-of-the-art technology like a TPS carburetor for outstanding response. This power unit is mounted on a newly developed frame that completes the perfect marriage of real American style design with the everyday convenience of a 250cc bike.
XJR1300 (Special exhibition model)
Developed under the theme of " The Perfect XJR," this model represents a further evolution of the air-cooled naked model XJR1300 with its torque-y engine character that only big displacement can provide, lively handling and impressive design. Significant improvements have been made in the handling and drivability along with refinements to the exterior.
Majesty (Production model)
The best-selling 250cc scooter Majesty has undergone a full model change on the theme of a " comfort revolution." The result is a further evolution of its character as a " sports scooter." Improved engine performance and a newly designed frame bring to this model a greater feeling of rigidity and heightened running performance. Other distinguishing features are improved seating comfort, the adoption of exterior design elements that heighten the sporty, luxury image, and other functional amenities like the world's first under-seat storage space large enough to hold two full-face helmets on a production model scooter.
YB-1 Four (Special exhibition model)
The stylish YB-1, popular for its nostalgic " retro" styling and features like its fun to operate gear shift, is born again with the adoption of a 4-stroke engine. The air-cooled OHC 4-stroke single cylinder engine with its gutsy, easy to use power is coupled with a 4-speed return type transmission to give this model spirited riding performance.
TT-R90 (Planned as production model)
This is a fun bike for kids mounting an easy to use 90cc 4-stroke engine with gutsy torque in the low- to mid-speed range. What's more, the adoption of a 3-speed transmission and automatic centrifugal clutch lets the rider enjoy a shift operation that is close to that of a full-fledged bike.
TT-R125 (Special exhibiton model)
This is a fun bike born of the concept of a machine for " fun riding for families or groups." It adopts a lighweight, compact new 4-stroke engine. This powerful engine combines with full-fledged off-road type front and rear suspensions to ensure outstanding performance in off-road riding.
YZ426 (Special exhibition model)
This model was developed around technologies fed back from the YZ400F factory machine that powered A. Bartolini to the 1999 World Motocross championship in the 500cc class.
YZF-R1 (Special exhibition model)
Two years have passed since the YZF-R1 established a new standard in supersport performance with the adoption of such GP race technology and as a long rear arm design chassis. Now, this YZF-R1 that is the center of attention for supersport fans worldwide reappears as a more highly evolved machine. Maintaining the original concept of " fastest on twisty roads," further improvements to the engine and chassis have brough further machine maturation.
Electric Scooter " ECCY" (Special exhibition model)
This model has been developed as an electric scooter that embodies all the advantages of a compact, lightweight two-wheeled vehicle by making use of technologies gained from the development of Yamaha's electro-hybrid PAS bicycles, such as an energy-intense battery, highly efficient small-sized motor and our unique control technologies that bring out their potential to the fullest. It achieves riding performance approaching that of an internal combustion engine-powered scootre.
Hybrid Commuter (Special exhibition model)
This is a clean-running vehicle powered by an electric motor. It mounts a super-small, low fuel consumption 4-stroke internal combustion engine exclusively for the generation of electricity to run the electric motor while the vehicle is moving. Thus, it is a " hybrid commuter" that combines the people-friendly advantages of clean electric power, the output of which can be easily controlled to suit human sensibilities, with the advantages of gasoline engine power, such as long continuous running capacity and ease of energy replenishment.
PAS Royal (Specia exhibition model)
This is a new model electro-hybrid bicycle that adopts Yamaha's new environment-friendly technology Intelligent & Flexible Energy System (IFES). Compared to the existing PAS models, the drive system has been made more compact and weight reduction achieved in various components to make this the lightest model in its class (bicycle weight of 26 kg, a reduction of approx. 1 kg compared to existing model @ 24-inch size). This has been made possible by the function of the IFES system which draws maximum performance from the battery and the adoption of a compact and powerful brushless type DC motor.
