We believe General Motors' Commitment to environmental preservation to be one of the critical requirements needed to survive as a corporation. GM, as the leader of the automotive industry, has been working on environmental preservation activities throughout the company for considerable time. We are aiming towards growth harmonized with the environment.
At the Tokyo Motor Show this year, we will present our new concept vehicle, the Triax, which is a clean, energy-saving SUV developed with our sate of the art environmental technologies. Built on the same platform, the Triax offers three optional models powered by electricity, gasoline or a electricity-gasoline hybrid.
In addition, it perfectly fulfills the automobiles' traditional role of providing travelling pleasure. The vehicle's sleek exterior, which boasts an excellent Cd value of 0.27, is also funcionally sophisticated and has a versatillity which fits any life style. Similarly, the interior uses simple, smooth-flowing lines to create an open and stress-free atmosphere. All instruments and switches in the cockpit, including the large-sized LCD display, have been ergonomically designed and located, with safety and driver interface in mind.
