Punto 1.2 16V ELX Speedgear (5-door)
Punto 1.8 HGT Abarth (3-door)
The Punto 1.8 HGT, an aggressive three-door version with a five-speed manual transmission, is worth having a sporty variant identified by the famous name of Abarth. The 5-door ELX, combines comfort and elegance, it has an electronically-controlled automatic transmission with a sequential shifting feature; 'Speedgear'. Thanks to the latest engineering and technologies, the Punto ensures the best combination among performance, style and ride comfort. These models are not yet available in Japan. 1.8 HGT: In-line 4-cylinder DOHC 16V, 1747cc, 130ps/6300rpm, 16.7kg-m/4300rpm. ELX: In-line 4-cylinder DOHC 16V, 1242cc, 80ps/5000rpm, 11.6kg-m/4000rpm.

Fiat Barchetta Limited Edition (current production model)
The limited Edition of the successful sport roadster provides the perfect fusion between the avant-garde and tradition of Italian design. The interior, in particular, offers an additional dynamism thanks to a wide variety of accessories and craftsmanship. This version has been available in the Japanese market since July, 1999. LHD. In-line 4-cylinder DOHC 16V, 1746cc, 130ps/6300rpm, 16.7kg-m/4300rpm, 5MT.

Coupe Fiat Turbo Plus (from November 1999)
Aggressively designed by Pininfarina, this Coupe Fiat is powered by the 2.0-liter in-line five-cylinder 20-valve engine with a turbo charger and an intercooler to be the fastest Fiat. On display at the Tokyo Motor Show is the Coupe Fiat Turbo Plus of which sales will commence in Japan in November. Its affluent engine power and torque are transmitted to the drive wheels via the six-speed manual gearbox. RHD. In-line 5-cylinder DOHC 20V, 1996cc, 220ps/5750rpm, 31.0kg-m/2500rpm, 6MT.

Punto Sporting Abarth (current production model)
The Punto Sporting Abarth, a sport variant of the Punto, available since April, 1998. The sporty Italian compact is powered by a 1240cc in-line four-cylinder DOHC 16-valve high-performance engine and aggressively designed using firmer suspensions and a variety of aerodynamic components. RHD. 86ps/6000rpm, 11.3kg-m/4500rpm, 5MT.

Punto Rally Version (exhibition model)
The rally versionof the new Punto makes its first appearance in Japan. With the 1.8 HGT used as a development basis, Fiat Auto Corse designed and manufactured this exhibition model. A reduced engine stroke results in 1579cc in its displacement. The camshafts, pistons and connecting rods are direct feedback from the brand's racing experience. The power unit generates a massive 215ps/9000rpm thanks to the lightweight flywheel, newly-designed exhaust manifold and single intake manifold specially developed for the rally purpose. The electronically controlled injection and ignition systems are Magneti Marelli. The engine power is transmitted via the six-speed sequential gearbox.

Alfa 166-2.5 V6 24V SPORTRONIC/3.0 V6 24V SPORTRONIC
(current production models)
The Alfa 166, introduced in Japan in September, 1999, features an evolutionary four-speed automatic transmission, 'SPORTRONIC'. The use of the electronic management strategy allows the transmission to automatically adapt to a wide variety of driving patterns. This luxury car integrates performance, safety, styling and sportiness and is worthy of being Alfa Romeo's flagship. RHD. 2.5 V6 DOHC 24V, 2492cc, 190ps/6200rpm, 22.6kg-m/5000rpm. 3.0 V6 DOHC 24V, 2958cc, 226ps/6200rpm, 28.0kg-m/5000rpm. Electronically-controlled 4-speed automatic transmission with sequential feature for both variants.

Alfa 156 2.0 Twin Spark SELESPEED (current production model)
In February, 1999 another attraction was added to the Alfa 156, which has been popular and successful among both Alfa Romeo fans and first time Alfa Romeo buyers in Japan. The sequential transmission with an automatic feature fully satisfies the market's demands. The Alfa 156 is a medium-class saloon with an exclusive styling. RHD and LHD are available in Japan. In-line 4-cylinder DOHC 16V 1969cc, 155ps/6400rpm, 19.1kg-m/3500rpm.

Alfa 145 2.0 Twin Spark Quadrifoglio (current production model)
The Quadrifoglio name, is given to this sporty and upper grade version of the 145. This three-door hatchback combines sportiness and, spaciousness. Its face-lift version was introduced in Japan in September, 1999. RHD. In-line 4-cylinder DOHC 16V, 1969cc, 155ps/6400rpm, 19.1kg-m/3500rpm, 5MT.

Alfa GTV (current production model)
The new RHD Alfa GTV mode its debut in the Japanese market in October, 1998. Powered by an alminum 3.0-liter V6 engine with 24 valves. Sporty response and smooth acceleration/deceleration ensured by an electronically-controlled throttle system. 2958cc, 220ps/6300rpm, 27.5kg-m/5000rpm,6MT.

Alfa Spider (current production model)
The new RHD Alfa Spider was introduced in Japan in December, 1998. The sport roadster model epitomizes the 'Sporting Spirit' of the brand through the use of; sophisticated exterior design, MOMO leather upholstery and the Variable Geometry Intake System which is also used for the Alfa 145 and 156. In-line 4-cylinder DOHC 16V, 1969cc,155ps/6400rpm, 19.1kg-m/3500rpm.
