March 18, 2004
The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA; Chairman: Yoshihide Munekuni) will hold the 38th Tokyo Motor Show-Commercial & Barrier-free Vehicles- (2004) for six days, from Tuesday November 2 through Sunday November 7 at the Makuhari Messe (Nippon Convention Center) in Makuhari, Chiba. It has decided on a theme and logo mark for the show.
The theme for the show is "Vehicles for people. Vehicles as partner." It embodies the message, "Motor Vehicles support and push forward our life, business and community, thereby making unlimited amounts of richness, hope and freedom available to everyone. Motor Vehicles are leading us to a brighter future as our partner dependable and friendly to nature, environment and people."
The logo mark uses a personified truck to express the idea that vehicles and people will progress together. The kindly look on the truck's face is an expression of the base from which new technologies are born. This is a lovable character who will attract attention and visually express the idea that commercial and barrier-free vehicles are indispensable partners in our day-to-day lives.
