JP Jaguar XF SV8 XF SV8 [Reference model, retail price to be announced later] *Japanese premiere

The new XF heralds the arrival of a new era for Jaguar. It is a midsize sport saloon that features an innovative design with the profile of a coupe, giving it styling that goes beyond the normal framework of saloon design. Its sporty, dynamic design inherited from the flowing contours of the XK contributes to the car's outstanding aerodynamic performance. At the same time, the new XF achieves efficient packaging, affording a cabin spacious enough for five adults to relax in and class-leading luggage space. The XF SV8 truly fuses the style of a sports car with the refinement, cabin comfort, elegance, and sophistication of a luxury saloon. The car is powered by a 4.2-litre supercharged V8 engine that delivers massive power of 420bhp (manufacturer's specification) and is matched with the new JaguarDrive SelectorTM (a dial-type shift-change knob) and Jaguar Sequential ShiftTM ("paddle" shift), which is renowned for enabling quick gear changes. As a result, the SV8 offers a truly dynamic driving experience.
Also featured is an exclusively tuned 440W premium surround audio system by Bowers & Wilkins that produces a clear, powerful acoustic environment. For pedestrian protection, the XF is equipped with the second-generation Pedestrian Contact Sensing System (Deployable Bonnet System), which is an advanced version of the system first deployed on the XK, developed to mitigate pedestrian injury.
*The timing of the launch in the Japanese market and the recommended retail price remain undecided.
