WP i MiEV SPORT Based on the i MiEV, the pinnacle of Mitsubishi Motors's environmental technology, the i MiEV SPORT maximizes the sporty possibilities of the zero-emissions electric vehicle. The high power and environmental performance of its electric motors make it an exhilarating drive that delivers superior environmental performance.
WP MITSUBISHI Concept-ZT The Concept-ZT showcases an advanced level of driving pleasure, safety and environmental responsibility - Mitsubishi Motor's vehicle strategy wrapped in a realistic package. Under the hood, a newly developed fuel-efficient, 2.2-liter clean diesel engine is mated to the new Twin Clutch SST (Sport Shift Transmission). Concept-ZT also features advanced active safety as well as passive safety technology, such as its pop-up hood.
JP MITSUBISHI Concept-cX Developed from Mitsubishi Motors's legendary SUV experience, the Concept-cX is a compact SUV with nimble running performance and utility on roads, as well as solid environmental performance.
i MiEV There are two main advantages of the rear-midship layout increased cabin space and plenty of space for the EV power train. The layout enables the power-train to be placed in front of the rear axle line, which ensures ample cabin space for passengers (4-occupant capacity). It also provides ample space for battery storage, which could achieve the desired daily driving range of a number of customers.
Pajero Evolution The Pajero Evolution that won its seventh-in-a-row and 12th victory overall in the 2007 Dakar Rally displayed supreme dynamic balance as a result of a no-compromise lowering of the center of gravity and concentration of mass. Also giving Pajero Evolution the edge in terms of its performance across the desert sands was the superb straight-line and handling stability stemming from its wide front and rear tracks and the outstanding motive power and all-terrain ability delivered by its 4.0-liter MIVEC engine with full-time 4WD powertrain.
Lancer Evolution X The development goal for the new Lancer Evolution X was to make the car as fast as possible, while also making it as safe to drive as possible. To that end Lancer Evolution X is loaded with the very latest in automotive engineering technology, including the S-AWC vehicle dynamics control system and the newly developed, power-efficient Twin Clutch SST (Sport Shift Transmission). Lancer Evolution X is a new-generation high-performance 4WD sedan that allows a new category of driver access to Mitsubishi's dynamic driving experience by underpinning speed with control, security and safety.
Galant Fortis Galant Fortis delivers the ride quality and of road performance that hallmarks Mitsubishi Motors as a result of exhaustive research and development in these areas. This "global standard sporty sedan" achieves a sublime balance between safety, environment and comfort requirements in a design that gives full expression to sedan-defining purposefulness and stability and an exterior that makes it instantly recognizable as a Mitsubishi sedan.
eK SPORT The eK Sport minicar offers outstanding convenience, environmental and road performance. Its comfort and utility specification includes: power-sliding doors that run on inner-rails to facilitate entry and exit; a novel Multi-position Utility system that allows users to customize the interior to suit their own needs and preferences; and an odor-eating head lining and Clean Air Filter with deodorizer. And while the intercooler-turbocharger engine gives eK Sport gutsy and responsive performance it also earns a clean 3-star rating for emission levels that are 50% below the 2005 Japanese Emissions Standards.
i "i " is an innovative premium small car that is rapidly writing an exciting new page in the history of the minicar. To overcome the challenge faced by minicars to date in terms of reconciling the requirements of "design and interior space" and of "interior space and crashworthiness" it adopts a rear midship layout that locates the engine just forward of the rear axle. This layout allows "i" to realize three major minicar innovations: futuristic and classy styling; responsive handling and comfortable ride; and multi-directional impact safety.
Outlander Outlander uses a high-rigidity and high impact safety platform and a powertrain that comprises the low-consumption, high-performance 2.4-liter MIVEC engine with aluminum cylinder block mated to a CVT with 6-speed Sport Mode and an electronically-controlled 4WD system. Also adding to the heart-thumping performance that puts Outlander way ahead of the SUV pack are its aluminum roof panel, monotube rear shock absorbers and other motorsport-bred technologies honed on the Lancer Evolution. While delivering mainstream SUV on-road performance, Outlander is also great fun to use with a convenience and utility specification that includes: a split tailgate that can be opened partially or fully to accommodate different sizes and weights of luggage; second-row seats that tumble down and forward at the touch of a button; and third-row seats that give extra seating for two or stow under the floor when not required.
Colt The Colt RALLIART Version-R targets the more sport-driving oriented customer and is loaded with know-how developed and honed over Mitsubishi Motors long and successful history in the crucible of motorsport. The model is distinguished by its beefed up engine, more rigid body, sport-tuned suspension, 16-inch high-grip tires and other dynamic performance-improving elements that are complemented by sporty exterior and interior designs.
Pajero Pajero uses all-round independent suspension, Super Select 4WD-II, rear differential lock and ASTC (Active Stability & Traction Control) to deliver outstanding traction, handling and stability over all surfaces. It also features a number of new technologies, including the use of an aluminum roof panel to reduce weight, stiffened joins between body members, and the more extensive use of chrome electroplated body panels for improved durability and reliability. Safety performance is boosted with SRS dual-stage airbags for driver and front passenger and with curtain airbags. Adding to Pajero's status as a premium-class global standard all-round SUV is its premium sound system, stylish interior and its powerfully linear exterior design.
Delica D:5 Delica D:5 may be classified as a monobox minivan but its electronically-controlled 4WD and ASC traction control systems and its generous obstacle clearance angles and ride height give it greatly improved traction, handling and stability particularly when driving off-road. The body is built around a new "rib bone frame" using girdle-type reinforcing bands and provides positive and reassuring occupant protection complemented by a new SRS knee airbag for the driver. Delica D:5 also sports a comprehensive specification of features designed to maximize occupant peace of mind, comfort and safety, including: plastic front fender panels that are pliable and have excellent shape recovery properties; the use of UV & Heat Protect solar control glass in all windows to reduce penetration of ultra-violet and infra-red radiation into the cabin; and a Clean Air Filter with deodorizer and an odor-eating headlining that remove body and cigarette odors and also neutralize volatile organic compound emissions.
S-AWC Chassis Model Mitsubishi Motors' S-AWC (Super All-Wheel Control) vehicle dynamics control system comprising ACD(Active Center Differential), AYC (Active Yaw Control) and ABS(Sport Antilock Brake System) is now joined by the new ASC (Active Stability Control) system. Integrated and cooperative management of these traction and vehicle behavior control systems by the S-AWC computer allows drive torque and braking force to be regulated at each wheel. In its latest version S-AWC employs engine torque and brake pressure data as well as yaw rate feedback control to realize vehicle behavior that faithfully mirrors the driver's intent over a wide spectrum of road and driving conditions and allows drivers to enjoy sporty driving with confidence.
Clean Disel Engine Mitsubishi Motors new Clean Diesel Engine develops more power and with greater efficiency. Features contributing to its class-topping performance include the use of a lightweight aluminum cylinder block, common rail fuel injection with piezo injectors to provide excellent response, and a VG/VD turbocharger that allows boost pressure to be controlled over a particularly wide range by combining variable geometry (VG) vanes in the turbine housing with compressor with variable vanes in the diffuser passage (VD). The new engine incorporates a DPF and NOx trap catalyst to ensure compliance with U.S. Tier 2 Bin 5 emissions regulations that require NOx (nitrogen oxides) emissions to be as low as similar emissions from gasoline engines. It will also be compliant with the Japanese Post New Long Term Emissions regulations.
