Theme: "Real Life".

Power from a 1100 cm³ in-line six-cylinder engine which, utilizing space-saving designs to the utmost, achieves compactness on par with 4-cylinder engines of the same displacement class. A distinct riding feel - with extra ordinary smoothness and brisk revving - that is a world apart from that of 4-cylinder bikes. Using hammered aluminum from the front the front cowling to fuel tank and Damascus steel with a distinct surface pattern for the radiator side covers, Stratosphere's styling promotes enjoyment of the texture and feel of the parts materials themselves, in addition to the design. With ideas like automatic gearshift to more actively support the rider and shield speakers in the helmat to bring riders hi-fi sounds, the Stratosphere is a Suzuki suggestion for the motorcycling lifestyle of the near future, where bikes are even more fun and more comfortable to ride.

The latest model continues to pursue the GSX-R mission of being "The Top Performer" and to "Own the Racetrack." The newly designed engine has been kept compact with a case-type secondary balancer design featuring a modified axle layout.
