November 5 (Friday) 10:30-13:30 International Conference Room
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport is engaged in a project to promote development of the next generation of low-pollution vehicles. This symposium featured presentations on development results for the 5 technologies at the core of the project. It began with a keynote address from Mr. Ikegami, who emphasized the importance of reducing greenhouse gases, following with Mr. Noda, who gave an outline of the project. Representatives from each of the technology teams then reported on their achievements. All of the technologies are in line with global trends towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and the presentations provided the audience with much food for thought.
