Range Rover

The Range Rover is Land Rover's top-of-the-line luxury four-wheel-drive vehicle that was launched last year. The new version is only the third all-new Range Rover in 32 years and a mixture of peerless off-road ability combined with on-road excellence, redefining what levels of luxury and high-quality can be combined in a sport utility vehicle.

Among the new Range Rover key features are the all-new monocoque body with integrated chassis, the all-new 4.4-liter V8 petrol engine with five-speed automatic transmission featuring Command Shift control, all independent suspension with interconnected air springs. These key features moved the Range Rover into a class of its own, the only true premium 4x4 in the world.

While the distinctive exterior design of the new Range Rover embodies many classic iconic design cues such as the "floating" roof, split tailgate and warp over bonnet, it also moves the Range Rover into the new century with twin pocket headlamps and "Brunel-finish" power vents.

To meet diversified customer expectations, Land Rover offers Designers Choice, allowing customers to create a Range Rover of their own by combining twelve exterior colors, three interior trim finishes such as 2 wood and 1 metal finish and seven seat colors.

The Range Rover combines know-how and technologies that Land Rover has accumulated over many years of experience. The standard features of the Range Rover include Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), a state-of-the-art combination of vehicle stability and traction control systems and Land Rover's unique Hill Descent Control (HDC), which has been adopted on the Freelander before the Range Rover. The brake system on the Range Rover is augmented by the latest generated ABS, backed by Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD). Land Rover Japan offers the Range Rover at prices ranging between 7.95 mills and 9.85 mills yen. The Range Rover showcased at the stand is top-of-the-line Range Rover Vogue.

Discovery

The new Discovery, central to Land Rover product offerings, was launched in January this year with over 700 improvements. The Land Rover Discovery, given Range Rover's stylish and efficient twin pocket headlamp, has a refreshed, family-resemblance appearance that started with the new Range Rover. Revised rear light arrangement gives the Discovery a better visibility from a following car, and redesigned wheels and larger roof bar (a standard feature for HSE model) resulted in a striking and stylish appearance.

Inside the Discovery, available in three all-new interior colors, Land Rover Black, Tundra Green and Alpaca Beige, there lies open airy feeling and premium feel. The versatile seating arrangement remained from the previous model and offers up to the seven-passenger seating with the "stadium" styled three-row configuration.

Active Cornering Enhancement (ACE) and Self-Leveling Suspension, developed to achieve a superb drivability similar to saloons to the four-wheel-drive vehicle, are available in the Discovery, offering a high-level, smooth on-road comfort. To deliver supreme off-road capability and control, the Discovery features Land Rover's advanced 4x4 technologies including Hill Descent Control (HDC) system that automatically supplements engine braking during particularly steep descents at the flip of a switch and four-wheel Electronic Traction Control (ETC). Land Rover Japan offers the Discovery at prices ranging between 4.45 mills and 4.90 mills yen. We are showing the top-of-the-line "HSE" model and a standard "SE" model.

Freelander

The new Freelander, unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, receives the distinctive family face pioneered on the new Range Rover. The new Freelander features twin pocket headlamps mounted on the new Range Rover and Discovery, delivering a modern appearance and a substantially higher volume of light output - improved by 70 percent. Restyled, body-colored front bumper is giving the new Freelander a crisp and bold look.

Inside the new Freelander includes distinctive horizontal and vertical planes, as seen in the Range Rover, and leather upholstery and metallic finishes, improving premium feel and creating a comfortable cabin. The instrumentation is revised, driver-friendly and highly functional.

The seats are also revised to give improved under-thigh and body support. Seat materials are now available between fabric and genuine leather with stitches. Customers can choose from three interior colors: Black, Alpaca Beige and Tundra, and eight exterior colors including three new colors: Giverny Green (as first seen in the new Range Rover), Helsinki Blue and Maya Gold.

Land Rover Japan will offer the new Freelander in a five-door body style with the 2.5-liter quad-cam 24-valve V6 engine and five-speed automatic transmission that has Command Shift manual control to ensure Land Rover's renowned superior off-road ability.

Command Shift allows drivers to choose the most appropriate shift change depending on the situation and enhances performance and off-road control. Additionally the new Freelander features Land Rover's unique technologies: Hill Descent Control (HDC), four-wheel Electronic Traction Control (ETC) and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBC), delivering superior safety and controllability. The Freelander at the stand is top-of-the-line HSE model.

Defender

The Land Rover Defender is unique in the automotive history. It has never undergone a revision since its debut 55 years ago, and two-thirds of nearly 2 million Defenders that have been sold are still running. For not only its outstanding durability and supreme off-road ability, the Defender has attracted many people in the world for its status as the origin of Land Rover. When the Discovery was launched in 1990, Land Rover updated this vehicle's name from Land Rover to Defender. The latest model Defender 110 SE features 16-inch boost alloy wheel and side protection rail with checker plate, as well as stylish panel paint around the front grill and headlamps for improved premium feel. The Defender is priced between 4.25 mils and 4.45 mils yen, and the showcased model is the upper-model Defender 110 SE.
