The Press Center will be operated in collaboration with Bridgestone Corporation, as in the previous show. There will be numerous services including communication tools to dispatch show information such as PC's with Internet access, modular jack, telephone, fax, and the other services such as a courier service and access to the press briefing video, to support the news gathering activities of the press.

Following are the new services of this year.

  1. To fulfill the needs of the digital era, there will be an optical fiber circuit (100 Mbps) to establish a network allowing high-speed access.
  2. There also will be a wireless LAN.
  3. Corresponding with the launch of the Health Regime, the workspace is non-smoking, and there will be more seats available. For your information, the area of the press center will be largely decreased after the regular opening day, as the members of the press will be much fewer.

Main facilities and services of the press center:

(1) Work desks: 228 seats (all non-smoking) increased by 42 seats from the previous show
(2) Lounge seats: 76 seats as in the previous show
(3) Locker: 1,848 as in the previous show
(4) 20 PCs, 7 printers, 5 copier/printer machines, 14 telephones about the same as the previous show
(5) 32 Modular jacks for Internet access increased by 7
(6) Access to the press briefing video  
(7) Free courier service to domestic and overseas addresses
 
(8) Paid photo development service  
(9) Interview room (one booth) decreased by one room
(10) Free drink service  
(11) Delivery service of press materials and the Tokyo Motor Show News to the brochure shelf
