Display Cars
  • 911 Targa
New 911 Targa resurrected to the market for the first time in three years, has more than 1.5 square meters of solid transparent glass roof. By simply pressing the button, the driver can move back the roof up to half a meter, and the maximum opening becomes 0.45 m2. In addition, in order to further improve the practicality, folding rear window is fitted, and this makes easier to access to the rear luggage compartment with the maximum capacity of 230 litres. For the glass roof, pre-tensioned laminated security glass is used, thus easily passing the safety standard of each country in the world with its high level of safety. New 911 Targa is slightly heavier than 911 Carrera Coupe, but driving performance is by no means inferior. Its acceleration from standstill to 100km/h is 5.2 seconds, and from standstill to 200km/h is 18.3 seconds.

  • 911 Carrera
In 2001, four years after its debut in Frankfurt Motor Show in 1997, 911(Type 996) mounting water cooled engine has evolved to the second generation as entering to the 2002 model year. New Carrera's six-cylinder horizontally-opposed power unit has been enlarged in capacity from 3.4 to 3.6 litres. As a result, maximum output is now 235kW (320ps) at 6,800rpm, while maximum torque is up by 20Nm to 370Nm at 4,250rpm. With the adoption of VarioCam Plus, which was only available on the turbo-charged models such as 911 Turbo or 911 GT2, fuel consumption has been improved to 7.2km/l(10•15 mode), while improving output and torque at the same time. 911 Carrera is getting closer to 911 Turbo, not only in terms of its driving Derformance, but also of its appearance.
From the 2002 model year, the identical headlight design of 911 Turbo has been adopted, and the design of the front end has been entirely renewed. Two oval tailpipes and the design of the rear panel are the signs of distinction versus the previous model. In addition, the lineup of the equipment is further fulfilled by including a new cup holder fitted beneath the centre air nozzle, and an illuminated lockable glove compartment, etc., as standard equipment.

  • 911 Carrera Cabriolet
The basic technical features of 911 Carrera Cabriolet is virtually identical to its coupcounterpart, reigning as the top of open sports cars. It is the first time that the solid, electrically heated glass rear window has been fitted to 911 Carrera Cabriolet, and the hardtop, which is easy to fit and remove, is included as standard equipment as well. In spite of its extremely rigid double shell structure, the weight of the top is merely 33kg including the heated rear window, and thus it is easy to fit and remove by two persons. The body is designed for maintaining the highest rigidity while calculating the shock absorption by deformation at the time of collisions. In addition, the rollbars are concealed discreetly behind the rear seats and move up under spring pressure as soon as an angle sensor reports the risk of the car possibly rolling over. The front and side full seized airbags also ensure maximum protection also in an open cabriolet.

  • Boxster
Since its debut in 1996, experiencing an increase of engine capacity once, Boxster with 2.7-litre power unit has been the basic model, which can be seen as a "smaller" brother of Boxster S. Although it is not quite powerful as mich, its agility and superior torque at all speeds show the characteristics of its bigger brother. The flat 6-cylinder engine generates maximum ouput of 162kW(220 ps) at 6,400 rpm. The acceleration of the 5-speed manual gearbox model is 6.6 seconds from standstill to 100km/h, reaching the top speed of 250 km/h. The chasis, suspension and brake of Boxster offer sport driving and a high level of active safety performance. For passive safety, Porsche's unique side airbag system, "POSIP(Porsche Side Impact Protection)" adopted to all the model ranges, is fitted as standard. The efficient protection at head and chest level of the passengers are ensured even with the roof open and the side windows down.
