The 4th Tokyo Motor Show (1957 . 5/9 - 5/19) HIBIYA

There were 268 exhibits, a slight increase over the previous show. Although admissions were not encouraging at 527,200, the quality of the show was improved by the showing of such passenger cars as Toyota s first Corona, Prince s first Skyline, and a prototype of the Datsun Sports from Nissan. New trucks were there, too. Toyota Diesel (110hp), Toyopet Route, Nissan Model 581,Nissan Junior, and Ohta 1.5-ton. The show began to evolve from a mere forum for advertisement into a place to do business. This was best indicated by the signboard "Automobile Information Center" put up by the show organizer.
