Guide to the Mazda Booth
For several years now, Mazda has been working hard to establish a distinctive global brand that reflects our deep commitment and relationship to our customers. The resulting core value, "New idea that stir your emotions (Kokoro wo ugokasu shin-hassou),"succinctly expresses our aspirations. We intend for Mazda products to create heart-pounding excitement through distinctive design, visionary functions and equipmenttailored to today's lifestyles, and spirited handling and performance that tell the driver unmistakably "This is a Mazda."
"New ideas" are designed into every Mazda passenger car and commercial vehicle. This year's Mazda exhibit at the Tokyo Motor Show will present a variety of commercial and special-purpose vehicles that bring our new ideas to life. These vehicles, like all Mazda cars, are designed to meet the stringent demands of today's sophisticated drivers. We have fulfilled and moved beyond the practical performance essentials of durability, economy and loading capacity to deliver the extra values discerning customers demand: comfort, exceptional versatility and the advanced safety measures necessary to fully support the pleasure of driving.
In addition to offering great vehicles, this year's exhibit will impress upon visitors the essence of our brand: the stylish, insightful and spirited Mazda personality. The booth will be a bright open space, featuring a crisp blue and white color scheme and anchored by the bold, graceful curves of a sloping central passage. The design is framed and defined by innovative "Graphic Walls" showing dynamic images of Mazda owners. The heart of this stylish design is the intersection of the central passage with the main stage, which symbolizes this year's exhibition concept:"The crossroads where Mazda and customers meet."
The layout is conveniently arranged into zones for each product group. The upper main stage will spotlight environment-friendly vehicles which use clean alternative fuels, such as the Titan CNG(compressed natural gas) truck and the LPG(liquefied petroleum gas) waste-collection vehicle. Also on this stage we will display the Premacy-i welfare vehicle, designed to ensure safe, comfortable outings for wheelchair-bound passengers. These vehicles illustrate one of our major themes for this year: Mazda's vigorous efforts in the fields of environmental and human welfare.
In front of the main stage, a wide range of Mazda vehicles will be arranged in four category zones around a central viewpoint, giving visitors easy access to their particular area of interest. On the sub-stage, visitors will find the expanded model lineup of the new Titan Series - developed on the driver-pleasing premise of "comfortable ride with tough utility"- and the Bongo Series, much admired for large cargo capacity and exceptional convenience. Other zones will feature a variety of vehicles built to be strong, reliable partners in business and family life. Among these will be Mazda commercial vehicles in a diverse range of body types and sizes, including compact business vehicles such as the Familia van and the Scrum Series, and the Mazda i-Series Wheelchair transports that feature easy-to-operate tailgate-loading for wheelchair-bound passengers.
On the central slope, visitors will be attracted to the new Mazda Tribute, an innovative SUV just introduced this autumn.
The consulting station, which will be staffed fulltime by knowledgeable personnel ready to explain the vehicles and answer questions, will feature a spacious business talk corner for one-on-one handling of customer inquiries about specially-equipped vehicles and individual specifications.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to "The crossroads where Mazda meets customers." It's always a pleasure to share Mazda's "New ideas that stir your emotions" with the car-loving public.
Products on Display

Titan CNG van(prototype to be marketed)
Natural gas shows great potential as a clean replacement for petroleum fuels. In the Titan CNG box-type van, natural gas stored at a pressure of 200 atmospheres is delivered to the engine via a series of pressure-reduction steps through reducing valves, a system which emits exhaust gas containing minimal nitrogen oxides(NOx) and no black smoke. Yet even with such environment-friendly qualities, the Titan's excellent performance stands up well in comparison with diesel-engine cars. Thanks to low noise and vibration, the Titan CNG van delivers superior ride comfort for driver and passengers alike.

Titan LPG waste-collection vehicle (prototype)
Due to the low-pollution advantages of minimal NOx emission and no black smoke, many municipalities have adopted LPG-fueled vehicles for public works. To these assets, the Titan LPG waste-collection vehicle on exhibition adds a special deodorizing system, which steadily drips a metal phthalocyanine solution on to waste materials to reduce bad-smelling garbage into odorless materials. In addition to improving working conditions for sanitation workers, this innovation will preserve the pleasant environment along residential routes during garbage collection.

Titan Event Car (prototype)
A Titan Event Car, based on the Titan camping-car, will serve visitors as the mobile ÅgCrossroads Cafe" coffee shop. In addition to the front seat doors and a body-side door on the left, the Titan will have a left side wall that opens upward. This body structure enables the Titan Event Car to transport three stall members and many products to an event site, where the left side can be opened to conduct event operations without having to the vehicle. In addition to the Event Car's functionality as a mobile snack stand, display appliances can be added to the interior, turning the vehicle into a mobile showroom. This is the kind of versatility that makes Mazda vehicles such valuable partners for work and family life.

Premacy-i (prototype to be marketed)
This Premacy-based vehicle has an extremely low floor and a gentle access slope to facilitate the transport of disabled or elderly people in wheelchairs. With separate second-row seats, Premacy-i's three-row seating configuration can accommodate six persons. To accommodate a wheelchair, the third-row seat can be removed, an access ramp extended from the tailgate, and the wheelchair secured close to the second-row seats so that the wheelchair-bound person can remain seated for the ride. The positioning of the anchorage enables easy conversation with other passengers to enhance the pleasure of the outing. The Premacy-i's lightweight ramp is easy to extend and retract, lessening the task of caregivers and promoting wheelchair passenger comfort.
