Booth Highlights
A triangular tower is the landmark for ISUZU this year. Under the theme "Our vision, our goal,". Besides our popular trucks and buses, we exhibit a lineup of 10 diesel engines as well as tansporters for use overseas, future design concepts for commercial vehicles. In addition, ISUZU demonstrates its commitment to the environment with the Diesel Particulate Filter(DPF) and other emission-reduction equipment. From a safety standpoint, we also present ITS(Intelligent Transport System) and ASV-2(Advanced Safety Vehicle) for a balanced view of the state-of-the-art technology at work at ISUZU Motors.

GIGA MAX Cargo with Full Air-Suspension

A full air-suspension vehicle for advanced transportation systems. An independent height adjustment feature for front and rear increases loading efficiency and is compatible with swap bodies.

GIGA MAX Tractor with Full Air-Suspension

FORWARD MAX Short Cab
The first medium-duty truck with "4-bag" air suspension in Japan, this vehicle realizes a great reduction in weight over existing "2 bag" models with leaf springs. In addition to preventing loads from shifting and being damaged, "4 bag" air suspension offers benefits when loading and unloading.

ELF Refrigerated Delivery Van with The Idling Stop & Start System<Reference exhibition>
A refrigerated truck that cares about the city environment and saving energy. The Idling Stop & Start system automatically stops and restarts the engine to prevent needless idling. Precise temperature control is achieved by running the refrigeration unit electrically while stopped, eliminating the need to run the engine and making clean, efficient delivery possible.

Design Concept Model FL1 / FL10
This prototype of future delivery vehicles, presented at one-fifth its actual size, was created to explore the possibilities of commercial vehicles. The rear body design is based on the assumption that "swapping" of containerized cargo between heavy-duty trucks and small city delivery vehicles will play an important role in distribution systems.

Technology Exhibition

Diesel Particulate Filter<DPF>
ISUZU pioneered the development of the DPF system in Japan. This ceramic filter catches particulates in black smoke and incinerates them with a contact heater.

Continuously Regenerating Diesel Particulate Trap
<Reference exhibition>
This system changes exhaust-gas nitrogen oxide(NO) into NO2 using an oxidizing catalyst, and constantly burns off black-smoke particulates trapped in the filter.

NOx Catalyst<Reference exhibition>
A device that changes NOx into harmless substances such as N2 and H2O. ISUZU introduces a NOx catalyst that uses urea as a reducing agent.

One-Way Cooled EGR System
By cooling recirculated exhaust gases to lower temperatures than regular Exhaust Gas Recirculation devices, this system reduces NOx emissions. In addition, check valves prevent air from flowing backward through the EGR system, By limiting flow to one direction. the system raises the efficiency of EGR technology.

Truck Operation Support System for Next-Generation

This system allows the constant exchange of information among drivers, customers and shipper's office and ISUZU via the ISUZU control center. It enhances overall logistic efficiency by using detailed vehicle information to support safety and economical operation by dynamically improving operational control and maintenance scheduling as well as responses to accidents, breakdowns and the condition of drivers.
