VOLKSWAGEN BOOTH AT THE 33rd TOKYO MOTOR SHOW

"Volkswagen. The Next Generation"
Photo:BoothAt the 33rd Tokyo Motor Show Volkswagen Japan is promoting the dynamically changing Volkswagen brand under the theme "Volkswagen. The Next Generation" to people in Japan and from all over the world. As the company's name indicates, Volkswagen was based on the concept of a "people's car" when founded in Germany in 1938. Approximately 60 years later, Volkswagen has added another dimension to the original policy of transportation for all people; the utmost quality for all classes of Volkswagen cars. With an eye to the 21st century, Volkswagen is aiming to become a full line-up brand in the next generation. Whilst continuously stressing the main principles "quality, durability, reliability and functionality", the global player Volkswagen is incorporating new concepts, as represented by its platform and multi-brand strategies, in order to provide high quality cars at appropriate prices to all customers. As a result, model variations have increased along with enhanced designs and equipment, quality and cost performance have improved, and attractive models have been developed.

During the Tokyo Motor Show, Volkswagen is displaying its full line-up in the Japanese market, including Bora and New Beetle, which have been recently introduced, as well as Golf, Golf Cabriolet, Passat, and Passat Wagon. With the exhibited New Golf Wagon, to be launched in Japan next year, the visitor should experience the dynamism of Volkswagen moving into the next millennium. The Volkswagen exhibition booth adopting the curved lines represents the Volkswagen "Piazza" ("Square") concept, the body color of the displayed cars has been reduced to the cool common denominator "Silver Arrow".
