Features of Peugeot's Booth

Photo:Booth Peugeot's theme is the "Coexistence of Automobiles and Nature" in the new century. In the center of an area overflowing with a natural feeling expressive of great efforts made for the environment, stands a 2-story salon with a unique, modern design. Arranged around it, encircling it, are 12 Peugeot vehicles. Through the varied use of wood panels that convey a sense of the gentleness and warmth of trees, and through the effective introduction of water and greenery, the serenity of an oasis has been brought to life.
This concept is a visual expression of an afforestation project, "CO2 Sink in Brasil" for the Amazon River basin, that Peugeot developed as a concrete plan to combat the environmental pollution being caused in this region by automobile exhaust. Laid out on part of the floor is an internally illuminated color walkway that also serves to explain the afforestation project.
The displayed vehicles are arranged according to their respective series. A plasma display showing a promotional video is provided for each series.
The biggest highlight in the booth is Peugeot's new flagship, the New 607, which was unveiled at the latest Frankfurt Motor Show. Now, shortly afterwards, the striking silhouette of this prestige sedan can be seen at this motor show. The 607's styling, exemplifying the further evolution achieved in the new generation of Peugeot designs, will inevitably attract enormous attention.
The 206 Series has been hailed worldwide as a hit creation; and in Japan, too, ecpectations that it would become a best seller were realised soon after it went on sale. Among the 206s exhibited in the booth are the 20, a coupe roadster concept model that was displayed at the last Geneva Motor Show, and the Peugeot 206 WRC Specifications, a rally car (not commercially available) that began its competitive career with the Corsica Rally.
This year, four years after its debut, the upper middle class 406 Series underwent minor changes, adding to its charm. Scheduled to go on sale in Japan, it is being displayed, sporting its new look, for future reference.
On the first floor of the salon you are welcome to see not only a showcase containing accessories, tuning parts, boutique items and more, but also a board on which it is possible to look at the body colors of each series and learn about Peugeot's dealer network in Japan, the Blue Lion Network.
