This S-TYPE is equipped with numerous items that respond to demands for convenience from customers of this class, including a satellite navigation system incorporated in the dashboard for the first time in a Jaguar product, air-conditioning system with side to side temperature control, and split-folding rear seats (6:4). In addition, a function has been developed that allows voice activation for telephone, audio system and air-conditioning for the first time in a volume-produced model. With the exception of the telephone, voice activation for air-conditioning and audio systems are scheduled to be used in Japan as well in the future.
In addition to the existing 4-litre, V8 engine, a newly developed 238 DINps, 3-litre V6 engine is also available. The three models such as 3.0-litre, V6, V6 SE and 4.0-litre V8 are available in Japan, and prices start at under 6 million yen (5,780,000 yen).
