Subaru Message Stage
The concept behind the design of Subaru vehicles is based on the superiority of Subaru AWD, world-class driving and safety performance, and concern for the environment. These three elements combine to create the Subaru vehicles for the next century. Along with an array of easy-to-understand explanations on the stage, video presentations are given on three large screens, a moving model of the Legacy is also in operation. Everyone can enjoy an interesting and informative experience at the Subaru booth.
Subaru AWD Stage
Linked to the Subaru Message Stage, this stage introduces the concepts behind Subaru design. The Subaru AWD as a source of superior performance is explained in theory and in actual use. Presentations are made theater-style, with each audience member given a personal scope to enjoy the images from actual video footage to computer graphics executions. The three-dimensional images used in the presentation are bound to impress each and every visitor to the theater.
Concept Car Stage
FLEET-X
Driving performance and space utility are taken to a new dimension in this balanced and refined wagon, representing the optimum shape for a grand touring car. Subaru's original weight reduction technology is used to optimize mass, while also addressing environmental concerns in this concept model of a next-generation wagon. 1.Multi-materials Technology is used in the construction of the chassis, which features a combination of different materials, each chosen for their specific function. 2.A new Horizontally-Opposed four-cylinder engine with shorter overall length is adopted to improve weight balance for better handling. 3.A newly refined shape for better aerodynamics has been achieved through the use of aircraft design techniques. 4.The natural metallic color of the aluminum body panels combines with a refreshing light green color to create a strikingly sophisticated two-tone image. 5.Even though the car is quite compact in terms of overall length, the interior cabin has actually been lengthened to enable four adults to ride in comfort, making this a true grand touring car. It's an ideal package of comfort, performance and sophisticated design.
ELTEN CUSTOM
Subaru's original compact hybrid power system powers this vehicle designed for urban lifestyles. Running performance is remarkable, while its height and reduced length and width make it ideal for a town car. Representing a new vision for the 21st century, this town-use car represents a new standard in enjoyable driving and ownership. 1.The Subaru Hybrid Power System (SHPS) is based on a high-efficiency gasoline engine and i-CVT, with two electric motors, a torque divider built into the transmission assembly and nickel hydride batteries. 2.Its charmingly curved design gives it appeal for a compact car, with a sporty image, while overall styling speaks of comfort. 3.The battery is located under the rear seat, enabling a spacious interior where four adults can ride in complete comfort. 4.Bold, bright colors give the car a pleasant and enjoyable character, with a delightfully coordinated interior to match.
Motor Sports Stage
IMPREZA WRC '99
As the symbol of Subaru's motor sports activities, the Impreza World Rally Car exhibits the latest high speces, representing continued progress in the field. Highlight scenes of this season's performance are shown on the video screens, while visitors are given a thorough orientation on Subaru's Motor Sports presence. The car's power plant is also on display.
IMPREZA WRX type RA STi ELECTRA ONE
The STi is the centerpiece of Subaru's Motor Sports activities, and is the crystallization of Subaru's expertise. This car has been designed as a concept model for a true road-going sports car. Large diameter high-adhesion tires and a strengthened braking system assure superior handling and safety, while the front-end air dam skirt and rear spoiler bring the latest aerodynamic principles into play for a true "aero sports" look and feel. Overall, this represents a higher level of potential for a road sports car.

LEGACY TOURING WAGON SUPER RFRB II
Fresh new styling representing next-generation design trends marks this concept model is based on the Legacy GT-B E-tune. Subaru's new concept parts brand RFRB gives this model a simple yet sturdy shape in the front and rear bumpers, while aero-rails emphasize the roof line.
Additionally, the shape of the roof-end spoiler, large flared wheel housings and other touches highlight more the functional beauty of the original Legacy.
LEGACY B4 BLITZEN
The German word "blitzen" means "running faster than a bolt of lightning" and it is an appropriate nickname for this B4 RSK version of the Legacy. Special front and rear bumpers, side and rear spoilers, 17-inch aluminum wheels and other exterior are products of the highly acclaimed industrial design expertise of Porsche Design, which developed this vehicle together with Subaru. The Blitzen is a high performance sports sedan of the first order with a refined form that speaks of sophistication.
LEGACY LANCASTER ATIPAL
The Japanese magazine ÅgLapita" is for adults who are essentially young at heart, and this model was developed together with the magazine as a Åghideout for adults". The cargo room is exotic yet comfortable, featuring a wooden table and chairs, with a built-in audio system developed jointly with the famed audiophile brand Mclntosh. Plus, three types of hobby boxes for holding small items can be fitted.
Thanks to VDC-AWD and the ADA System, safety is enhanced while making the car ideal for long distance touring.
FORESTER AERO SPEC II
This version recreates the image of the vehicle that challenged the 24-hour endurance world speed record at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 1996. Original aero parts contribute to high-speed stability, holding the car firmly to the road, while also giving it its sleek and low sporty looks. The front bumper features a center-mounted bumper protector, while the lower under-spoiler design creates a sporty image and function with the look of an SUV.
PLEO AERO STREAM
Wild and sharp parts on this car create a sleek form that cuts through the wind. The unified silver color gives it a hard feel, while the low height strengthens the sporty image. A combination of blue and yellow leather is used in several places in the interior for light and sporty look.
PLEO NICOT
This environmentally conscious town-use compact features an engine that runs on compressed natural gas (CNG) for a dramatic reduction in CO2 and other exhaust pollutants. Its cheerful design and charming yellow body create a brigth and appealing look on city streets.
PLEO WING SEAT "Lift type"
The version of the Pleo is ideal for the physically handicapped who would otherwise be housebound. A simple lever operation rotates the passenger seat, while remote control operation raises and lowers the electric lift-type seat occupied by the front passenger. In addition, the rear seat can be folded down to enable storage of a wheelchair.
Electric Vehicle Pavillion
SAMBAR EV
This year represents a full model change in Japan for tha Sambar, a light vehicle built to the standards of the mini-car regulations and this electric vehicle occupies the new Sambar package. A permanent magnet synchronous motor is paired with sealed batteries, enabling a driving feel similar to an automatic transmission vehicle, while a steady speed can be maintained over a long distance of 110km. Since the batteries are mounted under the floor, the car offers plenty of useful space.
