The 38th Tokyo Motor Show —Commercial & Barrier-free Vehicles— (2004)
Now Accepting Sponsors

JNL-2004-6
February 19, 2004

The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA; Chairman: Yoshihide Munekuni) will hold the 38th Tokyo Motor Show at the Makuhari Messe (Nippon Convention Center) in Makuhari, Chiba City from Tuesday, November 2 to Sunday, November 7, 2004. It will begin accepting sponsors for the show in mid-February.

The "Sponsorship Program" is open to sponsors in a wide range of industries and was first introduced at the 37th show last year. The purpose of the "Sponsorship Program" is to provide the funding for special events that will make the motor show more enjoyable and accessible for a wider range of visitors, including children, students, young people and women, thereby fulfilling its mission of "providing two-way communication with hands-on, audience-participation exhibits." Examples of events funded by the Sponsorship Program last year include the "Carrozzeria Exhibit" and "Festival Park (multipurpose stage)."
The 38th show will continue with the "hands-on, audience-participation" concept and will be recruiting a wide range of sponsors in order to secure funding for test rides, symposiums and a number of other special events.

The "Sponsorship Program" is open to organizations that are suited to the tradition and dignity of the Tokyo Motor Show except Japanese and foreign automobile and motorcycle manufacturers and their representative firms. There are three categories of sponsorship: 1) Sponsor, 2) Official Beverage Sponsor and 3) Official Web Sponsor. All three categories are provided with advertising space in the hall, in show pamphlets, on tickets, on official web site and at other locations commensurate to the sponsorship fees paid. In addition, sponsor companies are also eligible for their own booths and name exposure in the hall, as well as a variety of other privileges.

The Tokyo Motor Show will begin accepting sponsorship applications in mid-February and will make the final decision on sponsors by the summer. Hakuhodo Inc. will be serving as the contact for the Sponsorship Program.
